Učka - only a 20-30 minute drive from Opatija. For all those who love trekking, cycling, speleology, orienteering and free climbing. Istra - the heart of Istria, Buzeština, is located only a 50-minute drive from Opatija. Raspadalica and Motovun Ranch - paintball, speleology, trekking, cycling, free climbing and orienteering. These outdoor activities are held on the Ćićarija plateau, on the Raspadalica ridge situated above Buzet.
Raspadalica is also the name of the outdoor sports activity centre. It is situated in an isolated area, surrounded by the lovely Ćićarija pastures in primeval nature.
The second location, Motovun Ranch, is located an hour´s drive away from Opatija. This ranch offers breathtaking trails for walking, horseback riding and cycling tours. The areas surrounding Motovun, like the whole of Istria, offer exceptional possibilities for fun-filled excursions to the well-known Istrian towns of Grožnjan and Višnjan (with its world renowned astronomy observatory), as well as excursions to the pearls of the Istrian Adriatic coast ( the towns of Poreč, Rovinj, Pula...). Of particular interest is the Pazin Cave, only 15 kilometres from Motovun, which was described by the great writer Jules Verne...

Dirkališče za avtomobile in motorje je oddaljeno le 18 km od Opatije - za ljubitelje hitrostnih dirk. Na dirkališču potekajo treningi in predstavitve avtomobilov in motorjev svetovno znanih tovarn ter tudi razne svetovne in evropske prireditve (Svetovni pokal motorjev s prikolico, Evropsko prvenstvo v hitrostnem motociklizmu, dirka za pokal Alpe Adria).
